As an Outreach Graphic Design intern at Dominican University Ministry, my work was based on creating flyers, booklets, promotional content for weekly events in print and digitally. La Misa Campesina Nicaragüense was an especially unique project where I could use Latin American art to express a community's outlook in every day living and faith experience. The booklet (on the right) was used as a guide to follow the music with english translations which was a great opportunity to use vibrant colors in the primitive paintings complementary to the El Coro Latinoamericano's performance.

The lenten season is one of the busiest times at the ministry center offering a variety of activities and events for students to participate. In the series of flyers, color is especially significant. During this time of the year in the Catholic liturgical calendar, the purple means the mourning Jesus' crucifixion but also Christ's royalty.
